Comparing Cutting Boards and Live Edge Charcuterie Boards
Our cutting boards are 100% Canadian-made, crafted from a mix of maple hardwood. Every board is unique – with colour and grain pattern differences in every piece. Cutting boards are meant to be used to cut and prepare food. The edges have been sanded smooth and they sit flat on the table. Both sides are functional. See our cutting board designs here.
Our live edge charcuterie boards are sourced from Canadian artisans and are made from Canadian wood. The term live edge means that the edge shows the natural contour of the tree, with the bark removed. They are made from one wood species, typically walnut, cherry, maple, or butternut, and are used for serving food at parties. Live edge charcuterie boards sit raised above the table on felted feet. How to care for engraved cutting boards
A care card that outlines the best way to care for your board, is included in every board order. All natural wood products require regular conditioning. We recommend adding a container of Board Balm to your order to complete your gift.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not submerge in water.
- Re-seal with Board Balm after cleaning.
- Keep out of direct sunlight.
- Not dishwasher safe.
Save money with on client gifts
Client gift bundles are a way to decrease the costs of individual gifts, while still ensuring each gift is personalized and therefore valued by your client. You purchase a bundle of 5 or 10 gifts now and we set them aside so they are ready to personalize whenever you need them. Depending on your budget, you can choose between bundles of cutting boards or charcuterie boards. The cost is lower per gift because you buy them in bulk, but you can still personalize every gift so your client feels special. There is no expiration date, so don’t worry if it takes a while to use all the boards in your bundle. You can also choose to use your bundle for other gift occasions; a thank-you for a referral, a last-minute wedding gift, or an anniversary gift for a friend.
Bundle clients get white-glove service. We know you’re busy, so we’ll create a client file with your preferences to streamline the ordering process. For the fastest ordering experience, you’ll have access to our one-click re-ordering page. Don’t worry, you will always receive a design file to approve before we engrave, and we’ll send you photos of your gift so you know exactly what your client will receive.
More about our Turnaround Times
Our standard (free) turnaround time is 10 business days. Business days are Monday to Friday not including statutory holidays. We will always strive to complete orders as soon as possible. Your order will be ready to ship by the date checked in the “when do you need this” section. You will have the option to choose shipping transit times during checkout.
Standard turnaround times may increase depending on the season. Typically this happens in November, December, July & August. During these times, rush orders may not be available. Please sign up for our email list for the most up-to-date information and advanced warnings when this occurs.
